2. Fun magic language brings people together to make stuff.
It's an artistic project to add some magic and fun to communicating personalities. It starts with simple sounds, shapes, colours. Then there are dozens more formats to play with. Eventually physical layers. Example: Knowing someone fairly well within seconds from just colours, shapes, vibrations.
Example of stuff? Bring together 100 sci-fi book nerds and write a book together. Blockchain smart contracts take care of administrative and financial parts. AI can be the writer that helps guide the 100 contributors. Each person then only spends time on contributing the best ideas they have, the best moments and emotions they want to give. Book has 100 people already backing it, any money from sales are smart contracted to their accounts with full transparency.
The main motivation is the fun magic language part. I enjoy thinking about it, playing with the ideas, and testing out all the formats. There will be a lots of ways to exchange data between people, this is more about exchanging a feeling, and so that's why the north star is 'fun, magic, language'. Other formats include avatars that appear on screens and are made from the answers given
One of the original ideas was to have the vibe bars around the profile picture in a circle, sprouting out. There are profile pictures in many apps. If vibe bars are default across apps then it becomes a brief moment of surprise or delight e.g. you see someone's profile in twitter and get a feeling for who they are. Maybe you'll be surprised. Introducing an idea that spreads to apps by default would be cool.
In terms of physical devices that could be built. Imagine a wrist band that changes colour or vibrates on a handshake. Or it could be 5 rings where each one represents a different group like soul, love, joy etc. It becomes a new way to say hello.
